Times a changing.

Its cold here at Jordan's pond. Cold in tempurature, cold in outlook. The country is hot with controversy right now but cold with compassion and cold about the future. So many things are occurring on all sides right now it gets down right confusing about what to do.
The political system here in NJ is draining the life out of me. I've been able to stay out of politics for almost 20 years, simply choosing to do my job and putting the priorities of others first. Generally not the NJ way, at least not in the politcal system. That aside, it comes to a point where SO many things are going on that someone like me wants to help everyone I can, BUT, you can't help them all.
I just got a package in the mail from PETA. Its heartbreaking to see what evil is done to animals by men. Already a supporter of several animal rights groups do I dare take on another? Is the ROOT cause of man's wickedness being addressed by these groups and so many others like them? No, but they are doing a good job at what they are doing.
Ultimately the root of evil as to why man tortures animals, sells his fellow kind into the sex slavery trade, murders without thought and steals without consequence, has to be addressed. This is where we need to start. This is where our politicians need to go, to the One who created us. There and only there will you find the direction and energy to start taking on other focuses and groups to support. There are thousands of battles to fight, from battling the bulge (ugh) to stopping the child pornograpy machine, to helping animals not be skinned alive, to the battles in your own mind. Start back at ground zero, jump street, the very beginning. Go to the God who created us and ask HIM where to start and what to fight. Your money and energy can only go so far, get help with WHAT to help with.
Having not blogged in a while, that was a mouthful. I'll try to keep it shorter next time.
